Over 20 years ago, Sandy Maudlin quit her 'day job' to pursue an active life as
an artist. She has been on an incredible adventure ever since and enjoys being
able to share with other artists via classes and workshops as she continues her
art journey. Sandy has been awarded numerous Best of Shows, including the Ohio
Watercolor Society annual juried show in 2006 and the Watercolor Society of
Indiana's annual juried show in 2008 and holds signature membership in both OWS
and WSI. She's an active member of the Greater Cincinnati Watercolor Society
and served as its president for three years.
"Experimenting with watercolor on YUPO lead me into abstraction with my art."
Taking the chaos of shapes, colors, and textures and turning them into a work
of art requires both intuition and expertise in design. Chaos to control
produces some very exciting art."
This workshop will help you explore the incredible possibilities of painting on
YUPO. We will be using a vast variety of mediums and techniques, including
fluid acrylics and collage. There will be a daily demo to inspire you with new
ideas for your individual work. Sandy will spend quality time working
one-on-one with every artist. This workshop is planned to present new
challenges to help you stretch beyond your expectations.
Bring your imagination and prepare to have a blast as we all go OVER THE TOP.
