Pat Weaver is an
international watercolor instructor, traveling throughout the United States,
Italy, France, Mexico, among other countries, teaching workshops. She is a
Signature Member, Life Member and Past President of the Florida Watercolor
Society, Signature Member of the Georgia Watercolor Society, and an associate
member of the Society of Animal Artists, New York, NY. Pat is the author of “Watercolor
Simplified,” published by North Light Book She created a video,
“Watercolor Simplified,” by North Light and a DVD, “Animals in Watercolor”
produced by Creative Catalyst. She is featured in “Watercolorists Answer Book,
published by North Light Books, the Splash Series, and other books published by
North Light Books. Her work also appeared in Watercolor Magazine,
Artist Magazine and Watercolor Magic Magazine.
Pat has a very direct approach to painting. Her focus is on good drawing,
design and composition, strong value patterns and a limited palette. Any
subject matter may be painted in this workshop. In addition, a technique for
using watercolor pencils and white titanium casein by Shiva will be
demonstrated.
The workshop includes demonstrations, discussions, individual help and critiques
in addition to lots of painting time. Using the principles that Pat teaches,
students are encouraged to develop their own style of painting.
